It’s amazing to me that a centuries worth of history can collide and still be useful on both ends. Proof of Work!
The continued usefulness of typewriters is impressive. To me, they are a piece of art where form meets function.
If you would like to make an offer for one of my reconditioned typewriters please read on and follow me on twitter (@yooperhodl) and substack for notifications of new Bit~Alog projects. You never know, might not even be a typewriter project!
Like Bitcoin, Proof of Work on these machines consumes my energy and time.
Like Bitcoin, these machines are becoming more Scarce with time.
Like Bitcoin, these machines will store value and last if Hodl’d correctly.
Like Bitcoin, these machines can not be censored.
Like Bitcoin, these machines are cool AF!
If you are interested in one of my typewriters please hit me up on telegram @yooperhodl
Your Offer: @yooperhodl on Telegram or DM on Twitter, please lead with the link to the substack post and make your offer in Satoshis (Sats the standard!);
I keep it non-kyc, non-doxing, except for a shipping address (maybe use a work address or something);
I burn an ‘OP_Return’ hex signature on the Bitcoin blockchain forever with the Serial Number and other info about the typewriter for my proof of reconditioning sequence. You will be given that block transaction details for your records and proof that it is a yooperhodl piece;
Price Point: These machine were around $50 in the 1920’s. DYOR! So in order to keep up with fiat inflation, I suggest using an inflation calculator for your initial offer;
Accepted Offer: If I accept your offer I will let you know. Otherwise keep sending offers or check the individual substack post to see the ‘status’.
Payment: This is the scary TRUST part: Satoshis paid on-chain over my btcpayserver invoice, once confirmed, then I ship. (We can chat Fiat if absolutely necessary);
Shipping: You supply me an address, I supply you a tracking number, USA only (unless you compensate much more), shipping price included in accepted offer;
Obviously, these machines are old, I package them with the utmost care. These machines are reconditioned, not restored (I leave the Patina and wear marks). With that stated, I sell them as-is, no return, no refund, and no warranty. I realize this sucks. If in the future you need repairs please hit me up and I may be able to help out or direct you.
Once again, follow me on twitter (@yooperhodl) and substack for notifications of new Bit~Alog projects.
Thanks for checking out my Substack,
